Hi !

You must select a Type.
For Files you can only select Link.

"Link" means a file on another place than the parents folder.
Your Folder:
  C:\web\
and you want to link a file from C:\folder\myfile.php to
C:\web\ (like links on linux)

That is because the editor does not know if it should treat
this as a text file, a html file, a php file, etc. Once it
has been saved, then it knows (by the file extension) how to
deal with it.
