What do you mean close to a brace?
If somenthing like that - highlighting brace '(' and ')'
( char '|' is cursor):
1. if |( $a>10 )
2. if (| $a>10 )
3. if ( $a>10 |)
4. if ( $a>10 )|
then SynTokenMatch could do it simple (if coursor is before
or after brace, or inside token - for longer tokens than 1
char).
See demo .exe application.

But if you mean something like that:
if ( $a >|10 ) // cursor is between '>' and '10', and
highlight '(' and ')' then it's possible to do it, but for
performace only for single line (or multiline but with
timer, or more advanced).

Actually I mean to show/highlight the corresponding brace
when the cursor is close to a brace

For brace/token matching you could use SynTokenMatch, it
works with SynEdit and counting braces is on tokens form
highlighter not by using plain chars. With TSynWeb you could
get perfect brace matching, for exapmle:

1: html here <a href="...">test</a>
2: <?php
3: if($a)
4: { // }
5: ?>
6: } {
7: <?php // } {
8: }
9: ?>
brace matches 4->8, and 8->4 (only symbols, not in
comments/strings/etc)

Message Hi,
Congratulations for the great program :)
At this time I havent tested it so much.
But there's one useful feature I cant find - highlighting
of the matching brace.
Would you implement it? :)
